Official Rules
No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Purchase is not required to enter. Void where prohibited.
1. Sponsor
The sponsor of this Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is LayrKit, a Florida-based business (“Sponsor”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). For questions about the Sweepstakes, email support@layrkit.com.
2. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins at [EX: Start Date & Time, e.g., June 1, 2025 at 12:00 AM ET] and ends at [EX: End Date & Time, e.g., June 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET] (the “Sweepstakes Period”). All submissions must be received during the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible.
3. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the United States of America and its territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands).
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, and agents of Sponsor, and their immediate family members and household members, are ineligible.
Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules will be disqualified.
4. How to Enter
There are two ways to enter:
A. Online Submission (Preferred — Purchase-Based Entry)
Use LayrKit product(s) to build a live page on a website (examples: homepage section, CTA, styled product block, etc.) demonstrating snippets, palettes, or templates purchased from LayrKit.
Submit the following via our entry form during the Sweepstakes Period:
Your full legal name, email address, and U.S. mailing address.
A copy of your receipt or order confirmation showing the qualifying LayrKit purchase (Shopify order number or email receipt).
The public URL(s) where your site shows the LayrKit code in use (must be accessible without login).
A short description (100–300 words) explaining which LayrKit product(s) you used and how you used them.
Optional: screenshots or before/after images.
Click Submit. You will receive an automated confirmation email acknowledging receipt.
B. No-Purchase Mail-In Alternative (No Purchase Necessary)
To comply with no-purchase-required sweepstakes rules, a mail-in entry option is available with the same entry requirements except no purchase is required; instead, mail the following to the address below (postmarked by the last day of the Sweepstakes Period):
Your full legal name, email address, U.S. mailing address, phone number, the public URL(s) where you would use the product (if applicable), and a 150–300 word statement describing why you would use LayrKit products. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) if you want a mailed confirmation. Mail to: LayrKit Sweepstakes Entry, [Your Business Address], Florida, USA.
Limit: One (1) entry per person per Sweepstakes. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
5. Entry Requirements / Verification
By entering, you affirm that: (a) you purchased the LayrKit product(s) you claim to have used (if using the purchase-based entry), (b) the content you submit is your own work (no copying from third parties), and (c) your submission complies with these Official Rules.
Winners will be required to provide:
The original receipt/order confirmation that matches the submission.
A screenshot and the live URL showing the LayrKit code/element in use.
Proof of identity and age (government-issued photo ID) and proof of U.S. residency (utility bill or similar).
Failure to provide satisfactory proof within 14 days of Sponsor’s request will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
6. Judging / Winner Selection
One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor’s decision is final and binding.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Winner will be selected within 7–14 business days after the close of the Sweepstakes Period.
7. Prize
Prize (select one example below or specify):
Grand Prize Option A: $500 gift card (Visa/Mastercard virtual gift card) OR LayrKit credit equivalent.
Grand Prize Option B: LayrKit Ultimate Pack + $500 gift card.
Total approximate retail value (ARV) of prize: $[Insert ARV]. Only one (1) prize awarded per Sweepstakes. Prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt. If required by law, Sponsor may issue an IRS Form 1099 for prizes valued at $600 or more. Winner must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 to claim the prize.
8. Winner Notification and Acceptance
Winner will be notified by email and/or phone within 14 days of the drawing. Winner must respond within 14 days to claim the prize. If a winner fails to respond within that time, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
Winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release (where permitted) within 14 days of notification. Failure to return required documents timely will result in disqualification.
9. Publicity and Use of Entry
By entering, you grant Sponsor the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute your name, likeness, submission (including photos/screenshots), and any content you submit for promotional purposes across any media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. You will receive attribution where reasonably practicable.
10. Disqualification and Fraud
Any false statements, fraudulent submissions, or failure to comply with Official Rules will result in disqualification. If fraud is suspected, Sponsor reserves the right to pursue legal remedies and report violations to appropriate authorities.
If Sponsor cannot verify that the submitted product was purchased by the entrant, the entry will be disqualified.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is obscene, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
11. Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. By entering, you consent to the use of your personal data as described in those policies.
12. Taxes and Conditions
Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with prize receipt. Sponsor will comply with applicable tax reporting obligations.
If prize consists of an item valued above $600, Winner must complete and return an IRS Form W-9 or similar tax form before prize delivery.
13. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor and their affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to technical errors, lost/delayed entries, or unauthorized human intervention.
14. Disputes / Governing Law
Except where prohibited, all disputes arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes will be resolved under the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida.
15. Miscellaneous
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if any fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes.
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final.

Fraud & Disqualification Policy (expanded)
Any entry that appears doctored, manipulated, or otherwise fraudulent will be disqualified.
Entrants caught uploading screenshots or receipts that do not match Shopify records will be permanently banned from future LayrKit promotions.
Sponsor reserves the right to pursue legal remedies, including civil damages, for willful infringement or fraud.
Timing & Logistics for Prize Delivery
Once the winner is verified and required forms returned, Sponsor will deliver the prize (digital gift card or product) within 14 business days.
Physical prize shipments (if any) shipped via standard carriers; Sponsor is not liable for shipping delays once item is transferred to carrier.
Example Prize Structure (you can update amounts)
Grand Prize: $2,500 virtual gift card OR LayrKit Ultimate Pack + $500 gift card.
Alternate Prize: LayrKit Ultimate Pack (no cash alternative).
Adjust ARV and prize specifics in the Official Rules as needed.
Final Notes & Best Practices
No Purchase Necessary: Including a mail-in entry keeps this a true sweepstakes and avoids “consideration” issues in some jurisdictions. Make mail-in simple and equal in treatment.
Transparency: Display the Official Rules clearly on the Sweepstakes page and require entrants to check a box agreeing to the rules before submitting.
Recordkeeping: Keep a complete log of entries, receipts, verification steps, and communications for at least three years.
Legal Review: Sweepstakes can have special registration or bonding requirements in some U.S. states. Consider having a Florida-licensed attorney review the final rules if the promotion is large or high-value.
